In 2011-2012, Student Programs & Services Division will administer the following state tests in our court, community, and Cal-SAFE programs.

Testing Students


CST Testing

March 6, 2012: Seventh Grade Writing Test
May 14-18, 2012: All grade 7 - 11

 

CAHSEE: California High School Exit Exam
Students must pass both Mathematics and English Language Arts sections in order to receive a regular high school diploma. Here are the test dates for the 2011-2012 school year:

  11th and 12th Grades: November 1-2, 2011.
  10th, 11th, 12th Grades: March 13-14-2012.
  10thand 12th Grades make-up only exam: May 8-9, 2012.

CST Testing

CELDT: California English Language Development Test

Administration of this test of speaking, listening, reading and writing in English is given only to students whose Home Language Survey indicates a language other than English.

All eligible students must be tested annually by October 31.  Thereafter, it must be administered within 30 calendar days of enrollment.
 

High School Graduation Equivalency Tests

Our schools also provide opportunities for students who are 18 years old and older to receive a California High School Equivalency Certificate by taking a test commonly known as the GED, or General Educational Development test.

Computerized Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) Math and Reading Tests

All students take this test within one week of enrollment and at 75 day intervals.
 

California Youth Physical Fitness Tests

This mandatory test is given to students in grades 7 and 9 for Community Schools and the California School Age Families Education (Cal-SAFE) Program.
