Alameda County Schools—Information and Data

Alameda Districts’ Composite Calendar for the 2009-2010 School Year. —Calendar includes start and end dates as well as holidays.

How to Appeal an Interdistrict Transfer Request or Expulsion Order —One of the duties of the Alameda County Office of Education and the Alameda County Board of Education is to handle the appeals process if a student has been expelled from school or if parents/guardians are seeking to transfer their child to a different school district.

Student Programs & Services works with a broad base of community agencies to provide support and services for students in the schools and programs we operate. We serve some of our county’s most at-risk students, including: Incarcerated students, Students on probation, Students released from incarceration, Students not well-served in traditional school settings, Students with drug dependencies or behavioral problems, Infants and pre-schoolers with special needs, Teen parents and their families, Foster youth.

  • California High School Exit Examination—Assistance for students and schools with the administration of the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE). Beginning with the Class of 2006, all public school students will be required to pass the CAHSEE to earn a high school diploma.
