2015 Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contest for Middle and High School Students in Alameda County

We would like to thank all of the Alameda County Middle and High School students who submitted entries in our "You'll Regret that E-Cigarette" Public Service Announcement contest. We had a huge response and enjoyed all the creative ways you communicated why your peers will regret that e-cigarette. We received many exceptional entries and we thank all of you for the time you took to prepare your video, audio clip photo or poster. Your hard work showed!

Choosing the winners was no easy task. However, our Tobacco Use Prevention Education (TUPE) Youth Advisory Board members carefully evaluated each entry and have chosen the winners. Entries were judged based on a rubric developed by our YAB members that included scores in the following categories:

  • Adherence to theme
  • Originality/Creativity
  • Content quality
  • Overall appeal

The winning entries received outstanding marks in each of these categories. Winners will be honored at our PSA Awards Ceremony on May 4 at 5:30pm here at the Alameda COE. Winning entries will also be uploaded to our YouTube channel following the awards ceremony.

Thanks again for participating and making this year’s contest a success.
