Alameda County Transition to Teaching Initiative (T3)
Funded by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and led by the Alameda County Office of Education Educational Services Division, this collaboration among ACOE, CSU East Bay, University of San Francisco, local community colleges, and 11 Alameda County school districts is designed to channel paraeducators into the teaching profession by providing tuition reimbursement, academic support and advisory services, and transportation stipends. The goal is to increase the number of well-prepared, well-supported elementary, special education, math, science and bilingual education teachers in our lowest performing schools.
