Notary Services
Free notary services are available for any ACOE-related business and for ACOE employees. People who need notary services can directly contact the two Notary Publics, posted on the right, for an appointment.
Services are available to the public at the following rates set by the State of California:
- For taking an acknowledgment or proof of a deed, or other instrument, to include the seal and the writing of the certificate (for each signature) - $10.00
- For administering an oath or affirmation to one person and executing the jurat, including the seal - $10.00
- For all services rendered in connection with the taking of any deposition, and in addition thereto - $20.00
- For administering the oath to the witness, and in addition - $5.00
- For the certificate to such deposition - $5.00
- For every protest for the non payment of a promissory note or for the non payment or non acceptance of a bill of exchange, draft, or check - $10.00
- For serving every notice of non payment of a promissory note or of non payment or non acceptance of a bill of exchange, order, draft, or check - $5.00
- For recording every protest - $5.00
- To notarize signatures on absentee ballot identification envelopes or other voting materials - No Fee
